Ένα νέο τεστ αίματος για τους άνω των 50 ετών το οποίο φιλοδοξεί να ανιχνεύει την ύπαρξη περίπου 50 μορφών καρκίνου πριν καν την εκδήλωση συμπτωμάτων έχει αρχίσει να δοκιμάζει σε ασθενείς το βρετανικό σύστημα δημόσιας υγείας NHS όπως ανέφερε σε προηγούμενο της ρεπορτάζ η Offsite. 

Στην πρώτη μαζική δοκιμή του νέου τεστ της αμερικανικής εταιρείας Grail συμμετέχουν 140.000 εθελοντές, με κάποιες εκατοντάδες εξ αυτών να έχουν ήδη παραπεμφθεί για εξετάσεις λόγω των πρώτων αποτελεσμάτων.
